Whole Wheat Bread

Baking bread at home is not very complicated at all. At least this recipe from Kristina Unterweger is very easy to make and a special treat for sunday brunches.


  • 500 g whole wheat meal
  • 1 package dry yeast
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 3 tablespoons linseed Shredded
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tsp fennel
  • 1 teaspoon anise
  • 250 ml rice drink
  • 100 ml rice cream vegan


  • Mix all ingredients and knead together. If the dough is too firm, add a little water. Cover the mixture in a bowl and let it sit for 1 hour in a warm place.

  • On a floured surface form a roll, cut the dough into 15 pieces and shape it into various pastries. Carefully place the dough onto a lined baking tray, brush with a little water and sprinkle with different seeds.

  • Cover and allow to sit for further 20 minutes before being baked in a preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 20-25 minutes.

  • Important: provide place a vessel with water in the bottom of the oven.
